TRYOUT INFORMATION (for the 09-10 season)

Announcing Spring Season Tryouts

Tryouts will take place 3 days:
Monday, March 8 from 6-8 PM
Tuesday, March 9 from 6-8 PM
Wednesday, March 10 from 6-8 PM

You may attend 1, 2, or all 3 sessions. Multiple days are offered to ensure everyone has an opportunity to attend. Only 1 session is needed to earn a place on the team. Please email us your name & birthday and which day(s) you will be there for the tryout so we can plan staff accordingly.

If you attended fall tryouts, we prefer you come to at least one session to allow us to refresh our memories on your skills and to ensure you still want to have a spot on the team.

The tryouts will be for players 10U-17U (tryout age is based on your age as of August 31, 2010). We hope to have enough players to field a team in each age group, but some age groups may be combined based on the number of players that tryout. There must be 9 players to form a team.

Practices will take place on Monday & Thursday nights from March 15 – June 10. (Exact Time TBD – but likely to start at 6 or 6:30 PM.)

There will be two tournaments in April, two or three in May, and a two day tournament in June. All tournaments in April & May will be at Illinois Heat Volleyball Center. The June tournament will be at Navy Pier.

The cost of the Spring Season is $1000 (split into two payments – due 12-Mar & 9-Apr).

The cost includes: Orange T-shirt (used for tournament uniform and practices), White T-shirt (received at tryouts and used for practices), Spandex, Volleyball, Tournament Entries, USA Volleyball Team & Player Registration, Insurance, Coaches Fees, & Gym Rental for Practices.

The only items not included are: shoes (any volleyball shoes are fine), socks (tall white socks needed), kneepads (white needed), and transportation to/from all practices and tournaments.
